GlossGenius business owners and authorized staff use the private app or browser login to manage appointments, deposits, payments, and cancellation settings. Clients normally use the provider’s public booking site, where GlossGenius says no client login or app download is required.
This independent guide is not affiliated with or operated by GlossGenius.
Start by separating account access from booking-payment questions. A rejected password requires login recovery; a deposit dispute, cancellation, or no-show must be reviewed inside the relevant appointment and according to the individual business’s published policy.
What GlossGenius Is
GlossGenius is booking, payments, and business-management software used by salons, spas, medspas, and other beauty and wellness businesses. It supports individual professionals and larger teams, with private operational tools and a public online-booking experience for clients.
The private account is where a business manages services, appointments, deposits, payment activity, website settings, and policies. The public booking page is where clients review services and request available appointments.
Those pages have different purposes.
A client does not need the owner login to understand a deposit shown during booking. An owner who can sign in but cannot process or refund a payment is dealing with a payment function, not necessarily an authentication failure.
Choose the Correct GlossGenius Route
| What you need to do | Correct starting point |
|---|---|
| Manage a business account | GlossGenius app or browser login |
| Reset a forgotten password | Forgot Password on the login screen |
| Book an appointment | Provider’s public booking website |
| Review a required deposit | Service and booking settings inside the account |
| Cancel an appointment with a deposit | The appointment’s cancellation controls |
| Review completed payments | Sales or transaction history |
| Check a widespread payment issue | Official GlossGenius status page |
| Ask about a provider’s cancellation policy | Contact the individual business |
Clients can schedule through the provider’s GlossGenius booking website without creating credentials or downloading the application. The provider controls its own booking requirements and policies.
Do this first: determine whether the question concerns logging in, the booking terms displayed by a business, or a completed payment. Skip password recovery when account access already works.
How Business Members Log In
GlossGenius members can access the platform through its mobile application or a web browser. Browser access is available across subscription plans and provides members with desktop access to account functions.
Use the email address associated with the existing business profile. An owner who has changed the public email listed on a booking page should not assume that the login email changed automatically.
Do not create a replacement profile simply because the original account cannot be opened. A new account may be disconnected from the existing appointments, client list, services, booking website, transaction history, and payment settings.
When login succeeds but payments do not, investigate the payment feature separately. Account authentication and payment processing are distinct parts of the platform, so changing a password is unlikely to repair a deposit, checkout, or refund problem.
Resetting a Forgotten Password
Select Forgot Password from the GlossGenius app or browser login screen. Enter the email address connected to the account, open the recovery message, and use the supplied link to enter and confirm a new password.
GlossGenius states that the password-reset link remains valid for 24 hours. Request a new message after that window instead of repeatedly opening an expired link.
Members who are already signed in can initiate a reset in the mobile app through:
Features > Settings > Personal information > Reset Password
A password-reset email is then sent to the account address.
Use the newest message when several requests were made. Confirm the email spelling and inspect filtered mail before contacting support.
One current link is enough.
Do not provide passwords or active verification codes to a person who contacts you unexpectedly, and do not enter them on a page reached through an unverified message.
How Appointment Deposits Fit Into Booking
GlossGenius includes tools that let businesses require deposits as part of their appointment workflow. The mobile Dashboard can surface Require deposits alongside cancellation and no-show policy controls, depending on the account’s subscription and permissions.
The individual business decides whether a deposit applies and how its appointment policy is presented to clients. A required amount may therefore differ between services, providers, or businesses.
Clients should review the terms shown during the booking process before submitting the appointment. A deposit can affect what happens if the appointment is canceled, rescheduled, marked as a no-show, or removed from the calendar.
The deposit is not the same as the final service total. It is an amount collected in connection with the appointment under the business’s configuration and policy.
Priority one is the appointment record. Skip assumptions based only on a bank notification or card statement description.
Canceling an Appointment That Has a Deposit
GlossGenius provides a specific workflow for appointments that already contain a deposit. For a current or past appointment in the mobile app, the documented route begins by opening the appointment, selecting More Actions, and choosing Mark as No-Show (No Fee). The system then asks whether the deposit should be refunded and allows a full or partial refund.
The web-browser process is similar:
Open appointment > three dots > No-Show (No Fee)
A refund prompt then allows the member to choose a full or partial amount.
That workflow deserves careful reading. Marking an appointment as a no-show, canceling it, deleting it, and refunding its deposit are related actions, but they are not automatically identical.
Review the client, date, deposit amount, and intended outcome before confirming anything. A business that means to remove an appointment without charging a fee should not accidentally choose a fee-charging route or leave the deposit unresolved.
Pause before saving.
Who Decides Whether a Deposit Is Refunded?
The business applies its cancellation and no-show policy to the appointment. GlossGenius supplies the controls, but the independent provider determines what policy it communicates and how it handles a particular booking within applicable rules.
Clients should contact the business directly when they disagree with a retained deposit, need to cancel, or believe the appointment was changed incorrectly. GlossGenius Support can help with platform behavior, but it should not be assumed to override a provider’s normal appointment decision.
Business members should review the appointment record before responding. Confirm whether the booking was canceled by the client, canceled by the business, rescheduled, or marked as a no-show.
Do not promise a refund until the business has reviewed the appointment and its stated policy. Skip vague explanations; identify the appointment status and the action actually taken.
Refund processing and bank posting can also occur at different times. The account may show that a refund was issued before the client’s financial institution displays the resulting credit.
Viewing Completed Sales and Transactions
GlossGenius allows members to review completed sales, including transactions connected to appointments and quick sales, through the mobile app or web browser.
This is the better place to verify what happened financially.
Check:
- whether a deposit transaction completed;
- whether the appointment later received another payment;
- whether a refund was issued;
- whether the amount was full or partial;
- which appointment or sale the transaction belongs to.
A client receipt, account transaction, and bank posting each show a different part of the process. Do not rely on one screen when the amount appears inconsistent.
GlossGenius also supports sending or resending digital receipts by email or text, and printing a receipt through the browser.
Use the transaction record first, then resend the receipt if the client needs documentation. Skip recreating the sale merely because the original receipt was not received.
Card Requirements and Client Safety
A business may configure payment-related booking requirements, including deposits or a card connected to an appointment. Clients should complete these steps only on the provider’s actual GlossGenius booking site.
GlossGenius states that its booking flow does not require a client account or application download. A page asking a client to create business credentials before booking should be checked carefully because it may be the wrong route.
Clients should never send payment-card details through ordinary email, text, social media, or public comments. Use the fields presented in the authenticated or provider-specific GlossGenius flow.
Business owners should not ask clients to send sensitive card information manually. Route payment actions through the supported booking or checkout tools.
A deposit request should clearly belong to the intended provider and appointment. Check the business name, service, date, and booking address before proceeding.
Buy Now, Pay Later Does Not Cover Deposits
GlossGenius currently supports Buy Now, Pay Later options for eligible checkout transactions, but its official guidance states that BNPL cannot be used to pay an appointment deposit. Deposits must instead be paid by debit or credit card.
That creates a specific client friction. Someone may see BNPL during final checkout but not during the original booking deposit step.
The absence of BNPL for a deposit does not necessarily indicate an error. It reflects the current payment-method limitation documented by GlossGenius.
GlossGenius also states that BNPL transactions have separate processing terms, including a fixed fee and transaction limits. Those details apply to BNPL checkout, not to ordinary deposit collection.
Use the allowed deposit method shown on the booking screen. Skip repeated attempts with a payment type the platform does not support for deposits.
When Payment Processing Appears Inactive
A business member may be able to log in while the account’s Payment Processing status shows Inactive. GlossGenius has a separate troubleshooting guide for this situation, which confirms that an inactive payment status can prevent card transactions even when general account access remains available.
Treat that as a payment-account issue.
Do not reset the password unless authentication is also failing. Instead, review the status shown inside the account and follow the official payment-processing instructions presented for that profile.
Possible next steps can depend on the specific reason displayed, account verification, or other payment requirements. Avoid guessing when the account shows a named status or action.
Priority two is payment eligibility. Skip testing repeated client cards when the business account itself is marked inactive.
Contacting GlossGenius Support
GlossGenius publishes support hours of Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Eastern Time and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Eastern Time.
Its official support article currently lists phone and text contact at 1-888-979-7864. The page also explains that messaging or calling the number involves communication consent terms, and that message or data rates may apply.
Prepare a focused description before contacting support:
- whether login succeeds;
- the affected appointment date;
- whether a deposit was charged;
- whether the appointment was canceled or marked as a no-show;
- whether a refund appears in transaction history;
- the exact non-sensitive status or error wording;
- whether Payment Processing shows as active.
Do not include passwords, one-time codes, full card numbers, security codes, bank credentials, Social Security numbers, or confidential client records.
GlossGenius FAQ
Do clients need a GlossGenius login?
No. They use the provider’s booking site.
How long does a password-reset link last?
GlossGenius says 24 hours.
Can a GlossGenius deposit be refunded?
GlossGenius provides full and partial deposit-refund controls when handling qualifying appointments. The business applies its policy and selects the appropriate action in the appointment record.
Where can a business verify a completed deposit or refund?
Review completed sales and transaction history in the mobile app or browser. This helps establish whether the payment completed, whether a refund was issued, and which appointment or sale it belongs to.

No. GlossGenius currently states that BNPL cannot be used for appointment deposits; the deposit must be paid with a debit or credit card.
Why can I log in but not accept a card?
Payment Processing may be inactive or otherwise unavailable even when authentication works. Review the payment status inside the account instead of resetting the password.
Can GlossGenius resend a receipt?
Yes. Digital receipts can be sent or resent by email or text, and browser users can print a receipt.
Who handles a disagreement about a cancellation deposit?
Contact the individual business first. The provider sets and applies its appointment policy, while GlossGenius Support handles problems with the platform or payment controls.
